Dr. King was born and raised in Salinas. He has been in practice for over 40 years and seen about 10,000 new patients. He has received his training at University of California Berkeley, Creighton University, University of Colorado and Stanford University. He was appointed to two honor societies in medical school and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American Association of Endocrinologist and the Royal College of Physicians (inactive). He is certified in internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolic disease and diabetes education. His current academic appointment is an Associate Clinical Professor, University of California, San Francisco. He is an international speaker in diabetes, has over 100 publications and participated in many research projects to improve diabetes care.
Dr. King’s hobbies are playing with his grandchildren and making wine. He is considered by many as one of the best amateur wine makers in our area.
